Greetings Fellow Mountaineers,
It’s now one week until American Mythology finally makes it out into the world. This is at once completely exhilarating and utterly terrifying — the thing I’ve been dreaming about for years and the thing that now seems like it’s happening way too fast.
But happening it is…
Here’s a rundown of the latest books news:
Getting to chat with Neil from Talking Scared Podcast gave me a chance to really geek out on all things Bigfoot. It’s maybe even possible he’s a bigger fan of the Big Hairy Guy than me. Beyond that, though, Neil is a great reader who always comes up with some outstanding questions and fascinating insight. I’ve linked above to the Spotify version, but you can listen to it wherever you subscribe to podcasts.
Book Launch:
One more reminder that the official Chicago book launch for American Mythology will be held Tuesday, July 15 at 6:00 PM at Barbara’s Bookstore located at 111 N. State Street (Macy’s Lower Level).
I hope you can make it there!
This Week’s Word of the Month:
ides | īdz |: (in the ancient Roman calendar) a day falling roughly in the middle of each month (the 15th day of March, May, July, and October, and the 13th of other months) from which other dates were calculated.
Usage #: The novel American Mythology will be released on the ides of July.
Okay, that’s all for this Volume.
Until next time…
